On Tuesday my friend and I decided to Student Rush The Normal Heart. Unfortunately they were already sold out, so no rush! Instead we went over to Tkts and bought tickets to The Fantasticks, the longest running show (musical? I'm not sure what it is) in the world. We had to kill time so we went to Ninth Avenue and got dinner at a delicious thai restaurant called Chili Thai. I had been there once before, but never gotten anything. It was quite good, and cheaper than most of the other Thai places close by. After that we went to my favorite ice cream show, it deserves it's own post (soon to come!).
Eventually we headed over to the theater after a good few hours perusing our yearbook and seeing if we could name all the people (we couldn't! our school is huge!).
The show was okay, but it was more than I had wanted to spend on a ticket and I wasn't a fan of the voice of The Girl, who sings a lot I might add. It was cute nonetheless. And I am glad I got to see a show that has been running in New York for so long!
Overall a night well spent. The next day I started my Internship at a Non Profit. It is hard work I tell ya! I am working on getting another job (with a pay check!) that is more related to my desired profession. I'll keep you updated if that works out!
